Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to conservation, research, education, and animal care. The center is located on about 200 acres at the head of Turnagain Arm and the entrance to Portage Valley, Milepost 79 of the Seward Highway

Porcupine

Behind the store is the porcupine enclosure.

Bears

There are black and brown bears located in the conservation that are easily seen. They have a raised board walk that goes directly over the bears.

There are several Muskox to observe and make great pictures.
